Job Responsibilities:
As a Credit Analyst, your primary responsibilities will include the following:
Evaluating the creditworthiness of new and existing customers by analyzing financial data, including credit history, financial statements, and other relevant information.
Preparing credit assessment reports with recommendations on credit limits, terms, and risk mitigation strategies.
Monitoring customer accounts and credit exposure, identifying potential risks, and escalating issues to the Credit Control Manager when necessary.
Collaborating with the credit control team and other departments to gather information and provide insights on customer creditworthiness and risk.
Assisting in developing and implementing credit policies, procedures, and best practices to improve the overall effectiveness of the credit control function.
Staying up-to-date on industry trends, credit regulations, and economic factors that may impact customer credit risk and the company’s credit portfolio.
Experience and Qualifications:
A minimum of 2-3 years experience in credit analysis or a related field.
A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related discipline is preferred.
Experience with accounting software and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
A strong understanding of financial statements and credit risk analysis.
Professional accreditation, such as CICM (Chartered Institute of Credit Management), is a plus.
